Users can select between Basic Mode, which includes 300 common species, and Advanced Mode, encompassing the full database. The interface allows for intuitive browsing, resembling flipping through pages, or rapid identification through filters such as color, shape, common name, or scientific name. Each fish profile provides up to five photographs illustrating juveniles, males, females, and color variations. Interactive flashcard-style quizzes are available to enhance identification skills, while a Log Book function facilitates recording observations and adding notes for personal reference and sharing.
